This week was made extra special by a group of Grade 6 learners from Ethembini School in Inchanga.
We have been hosting learners from Ethembini School at uShaka Sea World for the past 20 years and it is always a real treat to share our world with them. Although the learners present with different needs and challenges, they all have the same effervescent giggles.
No excursion to uShaka Sea World would be complete for these adventurous learners without a reptile experience. Getting up close with reptiles has become a highlight for the learners of this school who participate enthusiastically in programmes designed to connect them with nature.
“I loved feeling the snake, it was wonderful” said Amkelani Magubane, his eyes all a sparkle when herpetologist, Chantal van der Berg introduced him to one of the resident ball pythons.
