Pemba, the first Olive Ridley turtle to be satellite tagged in South Africa, was released from Mabibi on the KwaZulu-Natal North coast on 8th March 2018. She underwent 4 years of rehabilitation by the Two Oceans Aquarium and uShaka Sea World.
On 31st March, she was 370 nautical miles (685 kms) SSW of Cape Agulhas.
