A number of Grade 10 learners at schools around the country had the option of choosing Marine Sciences as a school subject this year.
The curriculum covers the following four strands, Oceanography, Marine Biology, Ecology and Human impacts on the ocean.
Dr Gary Robson is the Marine Sciences node coordinator for Grade 10 pupils from several DBE and IEB schools within KZN.
The uShaka Sea World Education Centre is now offering a bespoke course to Grade 10 pupils who are taking Marine Sciences this year.
If you have or know of a learner taking Marine Sciences and would like them to join one of these courses, please contact Dr Robson for more information. You are welcome to contact Dr Robson on his email : firstname.lastname@example.org or landline : 031 764 8640.
We hope to continue this partnership and provide further practical courses for Grade 11 and 12 over the next two years.
