No matter where you live you can now visit a Marine Protected Area – from the comfort of your home. That is right – we will bring the MPAs to you during a one hour webinar.
Please join our MPA Day celebrations by registering for this live virtual tour where we will explore four South African Marine Protected Areas. This online event will be ideal for families to join and experience areas of South Africa where they might not have been before, or to “revisit” areas that they love and have explored previously.
The four chosen MPA’s are the iSimangaliso Wetland Park MPA, uThukela MPA, De Hoop MPA, Dyer Island and Table Mountain MPA. You will learn about their history, ecosystems, traditional significance and meet the people who care about these MPAs as well as some of the creatures that call these MPA’s home.
