EDUCATION
Education volunteers work with school groups and visitors. Their role is to inspire learners and visitors by introducing them to the wonder of marine life. Recruitment is done once a year, followed by intensive training that takes 6 months to complete.

DANGEROUS CREATURES
Volunteers in this area are active in animal care. They may assist with cleaning the exhibits, helping to ensure that the animal areas are clean and neat, as well as a range of other tasks associated with caring for reptiles, frogs and spiders.

AQUARIUM
Aquarium volunteers assist the aquarium staff by cleaning the exhibits, preparing food and assisting feeding the animals. To volunteer in the aquarium, you need to be fit, mobile and able to swim confidently.

DOLPHINS & SEALS
Volunteers assist in preparing food for the animals, cleaning and general support. There is no set recruitment period, but there is often a waiting list. You need to be fit, active and be able to swim with confidence.

AV VOLUNTEERS
AV volunteers assist the qualified AV staff set up the audio and video equipment used during the seal and dolphin presentations. Once they have enough experience, they assist in filming the animals during the shows and playing music.
